City Museum in St. Louis, Missouri

The City Museum in St. Louis wants everyone to know they are not a “quiet, slowly walk around and look at exhibits,” type of place. It’s more of a place where you would take your rowdy kids and they would have a great time. Learn information about St. Louis, MO.

History

The City Museum of St. Louis is housed on four floors of the hundred-year-old International Shoe Factory warehouse in downtown St. Louis. By 2010 it was regularly hosting 700,000 visitors. Discover facts about The Iconic St. Louis Arch.

Physical Fun

Visitors can literally explore miles of tunnels to crawl through and a full cave system to explore. There is also an outdoor climbing space, playgrounds, ball pits, and a circus ring on the third floor with live acts. The City Museum of St. Louis contains over 30 slides and also has a museum called the Museum of Mayhem, Mirth, and Mystery.

Before you Go In

Even before you go into the building, you will realize this museum is something out of the ordinary. There is a Ferris Wheel to ride on the roof, and a school bus perched precariously on the edge of the roof.
